With the help of wildlife cameras, forest rangers and hunters gain valuable insights into their hunting grounds. But camera traps can also be used to monitor objects such as allotment gardens or garages and to protect against theft and vandalism. The Braun Scouting Cam Black200A Mini was developed for very special surveillance tasks. 

With mini cameras, however, deterrence is not the main aspect. The use of these very small, ultra-light and almost camouflaged cameras is about observing processes and areas, both day and night. The special feature of the camera is that it can be powered with four conventional AA batteries, as well as optionally with two rechargeable 18650 batteries or an external 6V 1.5A power supply. No separate charger is required to charge the batteries. The batteries can be charged via the USB-C connection (5V) as well as via the 6V DC connection of the camera with a power supply unit. Neither rechargeable batteries nor batteries and power supply are part of the scope of delivery. Using 18650 batteries, the standby time can be extended by about two months to a total of about 8 months. As the name suggests, the Black200A Mini stands out with its small dimensions of only 115 x 98 x 72 (HxWxD) mm and its very low weight of only 195 grams. 

The high-quality 2 MP CMOS image sensor used delivers very good color images with up to 20MP image resolution during the day. The Scouting Cam Black200A Mini also delivers videos with a length of up to ten minutes and a Full HD resolution of 1080p at 30fps. As soon as daylight fades, the 32 black infrared LEDs are activated and illuminate the scene. For technical reasons, all recordings are then recorded at night in black and white, with the maximum night vision and triggering distance being 20 meters at night. The trigger time is only 0.2 seconds. 

Braun supplies the Scouting Cam Black200 WiFi Mini in a robust housing and with a PIR motion detector with a detection radius of 90° as well as 32 black IR LEDs (850nm) for night shots. The compact and waterproof camera housing meets protection class IP66. The Braun Scouting Cam Black200A Mini has a 2.4'' color TFT display for image control of the recordings that are saved on a micro SD card (up to max. 512GB, AVI and JPG format) and for making the desired camera settings. 

Useful time-lapse recordings (video or photo) are also possible with the game camera. The operating temperatures range from -20 degrees to +50 degrees. In addition, the Braun Scouting Cam Black200A Mini has an integrated microphone, password protection and the date, time, moon phase and temperature. The scope of delivery also includes a tree mount and a fastening strap to fix the camera to a tree. Alternatively, it can also be placed independently on a tripod or with a tree screw.
